Production Operative, Chesterfield

A local manufacturer is expanding their team, looking for a Production Operative, ideally with experience of driving a forklift counterbalance truck, to join them on a temporary to permanent basis. We’re keen to speak to you if you are currently or have previously worked within a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operative or similar role.

In this role you will be performing general Production Operative duties such as machine operation, quality checking and routine maintenance to meet the production schedule.

Key details:

• Days: Monday to Friday, 7.30am-4pm (40 hours per week)
• Pay: £13 per hour

Duties of a Production Operative:

• Manufacturing duties such as operating machinery, basic quality checks, carrying out routine maintenance and ensuring production is on schedule
• You will be required to work on machinery/help out in production once trained
• Manual handling and preparing orders for dispatch will be required and all associated paperwork will need to be completed

Experience required for this Production Operative position:

• Previous experience of driving a counterbalance truck, and in date accredited license is desirable
• Experience of working within a production/ manufacturing environment is essential
• Experience using tools and working on machinery is essential
• The ideal candidate must have the following attributes: flexible, punctual, reliable, willing to learn and good communication skills, both written and verbal
