Production Operative, Wombwell Barnsley

Due to recent growth and expansion, an established company based in Wombwell, Barnsley we are looking for a Production Operative to join them on a temporary ongoing basis.

As a Production Operative you will be operating plastic extrusion machines, quality checking products and preparing them for dispatch.

This is a great opportunity to build your skillset as no experience is required, however if you have previously worked in a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator or similar role, we would be keen to speak to you.

Hours:

• Rotating days and nights
• Days: Monday to Wednesday, 6am-6pm / Thursday, 6am-12:30pm
• Nights: Monday to Wednesday, 6pm-6am

Pay Rate:

• £13.90 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and a half

Main duties of a Production Operative:

• You will be assisting operating various plastic extrusion machines
• Quality checking products
• Palletising and tie wrapping orders
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Various other duties as and when required

Skills Required for this Production Operative position:

• Previous production, manufacturing or machine operating experience advantageous but not essential
• Must have a positive attitude to work, good attention to detail and the ability to work with various production equipment
• Must be physically fit as the role requires standing on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be punctual and willing to learn
