Production and Quality Operative, Barnsley

We are currently seeking an Experienced Operative for Production & Quality in the Dodworth, Barnsley area.

The suitable candidate will need to have previous experience working with raw materials or mixing materials to make batch products.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8.30am – 5pm

Pay Rate:

• £14.81 per hour

Main duties of the job:

• Completing thorough quality checks of manufactured products
• Ensuring all quality records are updated & reporting any quality discrepancies
• Assisting with customer complaints and quality issues
• Weighing, measuring & mixing of raw materials (i.e, liquids, powders & inks)
• Following of batch sheet / instructions for manufacturing of raw materials to make batch products to highest of standards
• Preparation and packing of orders including stacking, shrink wrapping and labelling
• Operating of Forklift Counterbalance & Reach trucks, where required
• Assisting with clean down of machinery & factory environment
• Various other duties when required

Skills required:

• Previous Quality Control & Production experience would be essential
• Candidate must have in-date FLT Counterbalance & Reach license (refreshed within the last 3 years)
• Ability to work and meet deadlines
• Candidate must be reliable and have good timekeeping
• Ability to use own initiative as well as working as part of a team
• Excellent eye for detail & positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Must be physically fit due to nature of the role
