Kitchen Assistant – Part Time

We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant/Caterer to join a local, family-run business based in Anslow, Burton-on-Trent.

This is a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking, fresh ingredients, and friendly customer service. Immediate starts are available.

Hours of work:

• Saturday, 8am – 4pm
• Sunday, 9am – 3pm

Pay rate:

• £12.21 – £12.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Daily tasks:

• Preparing sandwiches and salads
• Assisting the chefs with homemade breakfasts, light lunches, and baked goods
• Ensuring high food hygiene and safety standards are maintained
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with regulations
• Occasionally interacting with customers and assisting with food presentation

Skills required:

• Experience in a similar catering or chef role, with a passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients
• Food Hygiene Qualification (essential)
• Creativity and enthusiasm for baking and home-style cooking
• A friendly, reliable, and supportive team player
