Paintline Production Manager, Barnsley

As Paintline Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the powder coating paint line operation. This is a key leadership position within the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and operational efficiency.

You will lead a team of employees and work closely with senior management to ensure production schedules and business objectives are met.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (Flexibility required to meet business needs)

Key Responsibilities of a Paintline Production Manager:

• Manage the daily operation of the powder coating paint line.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a small team.
• Monitor and manage team performance, KPIs, attendance, and productivity.
• Handle day-to-day people management activities, including holiday approvals and performance management.
• Ensure production schedules are met in line with customer and business requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout the coating process.
• Carry out and oversee health & safety requirements across the department.
• Conduct and document routine compliance activities, including Legionella testing.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and performance.
• Work closely with the Operations Director to report departmental performance and support wider operational objectives.
• Ensure all processes operate in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential

• Proven experience managing a powder coating paint line operation.
• Previous experience running a powder coating facility.
• Strong people management and leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Experience managing KPIs and driving team performance.
• Good understanding of health & safety responsibilities within manufacturing.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Continuous improvement experience.
• Experience implementing process improvements within a production environment.
