Order Picker/Dispatch Operative – Afters Shift

We are looking for an experienced Order Picker to join a small, friendly sandwich food production company based in the Monk Bretton area of Barnsley. You will become an essential long-term member of their successful and fast expanding business.

In this Order Picker and Dispatch Operative role you will be working within a refrigerated environment. This position include picking customer orders as well as general Food Production Operative duties like packing sandwich fillings on the production line, labelling & sealing products and quality checking them before dispatch.

We are keen to speak to candidates who have worked within a Picker or Packer role previously.

Job Details:

• Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10pm (weekends off)
• £14.50 per hour
• Working for a highly established business
• Immediate starts available
• Full time ongoing work
• Guaranteed hours

Duties of an Order Picker:

• Picking orders using customer order sheets
• Quality checking all products before dispatch
• Packing of sandwich fillings on a production line
• Weighing of products to customer specifications
• Labelling and sealing of product packaging
• Working in a chilled environment (8C+)
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene polices are being followed at all times
• Cleaning down the work area

Skills Required of an Order Picker:

• Candidate must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Previous experience picking or packing
• Ability to work in a fast paced working environment
• You must be reliable and have good timekeeping
• Candidates must be physically fit and able to work to deadlines
• Excellent eye for detail and quality
