Metals Processor

Hours: Monday – Friday Days Shift Patterns (Shift patterns are set by the Works Manager and may rotate to suit business needs. Afternoon/night shift work may be required occasionally)

Salary: Up to £31,500 per annum

Location: Rotherham

Contract Type: Permanent

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Metals Processor to join our business in Rotherham on a permanent basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processing Nickel and Cobalt alloy material using tools such as plasma cutters, saws, and shot blasters
• Analysing materials using handheld XRF equipment (e.g. Niton analyser)
• Sorting, packing, and preparing material for dispatch, ensuring accurate job card documentation
• Loading and unloading curtain sider trucks and shipping containers
• Keeping stock locations up to date and reporting any material discrepancies to the Works Manager
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

• Experience using a plasma cutter
• Confidence with power tools
• Prior work with Nickel and Cobalt alloys

Desirable:

• Shot blasting or hand blasting
• Material analysis using handheld XRF (e.g. Niton)
• Valid forklift and/or reach truck licence
• General metal processing or recycling yard experience
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
