Manufacturing Operative, Barnsley

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join the team as Manufacturing Operatives, with immediate starts available

In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of manufacturing windows and doors, from beading and glazing to assembly and packing.

Due to the location of the site, your own transport will be required.

Pay Rate:

• Sunday to Thursday
• 10:00pm – 6:00am

Hours:

• £14.18 per hour
• Monthly bonuses available

Duties

• Operating and minding pre-programmed automated machinery and the on-site fumes
• Manual handling of glass, various sizes and weights
• Sending of glass edges and quality inspecting
• Loading glass onto racks
• Manufacturing and assembling of glass inserts, matching these to customer specification
• Labelling and prepping glass panels for despatch
• Use of hand sealing gun, hand tools and various machinery
• Manufacturing of windows from start to finish
• Various other duties when needed

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly role
• Own transport due to location
• Full training will be provided for the right person
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Good physical fitness for manual handling and lifting
• Ability to work well in a team and meet production targets
