Maintenance Fitter
Hours: Rotating shift pattern of days and afters 6am – 14:30pm / 14:00pm – 22:30pm
Salary: Starting £43,590 per annum + OT available
Location: Harworth
Contract Type: Permanent
Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Maintenance Fitter to join our business in Harworth on a permanent basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting equipment and reporting defects to shift leaders or the Production Manager
- Monitoring efficiencies of machinery and team members to ensure all targets are being hit on a shift by shift basis and with a view for longer-term targets
- Carrying out mechanical repairs on multiple types of equipment quickly and efficiently
- Become the POC on site during shift that can make decisions before having to escalate to higher management
- Operating all equipment when needed
- Completing associate paperwork wen needed
- Maximising plant availability and optimising production line performance
Experience and Skills:
- Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering)
- Previous experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments
- Effective previous leadership experience
- Ideal for candidates from automotive backgrounds with strong fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of automated systems, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong mechanical repair skills; MIG & TIG welding experience is highly advantageous
- Flexible, proactive approach and ability to work within a small, collaborative team
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
- Mechanically minded, adaptable, and keen to learn new skills
- Be proactive and be able to support general operatives and general fitters effectively throughout all planned and unplanned work
- Quick to respond to issues and evaluate what situation need elevating and what can be supported by general staff
