Machine Operative – Days & Afters

Location: Ripley / Codnor

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

Hours: Monday–Friday (Rotating Days & Afters)

Overtime: OT1 applicable after basic hours worked

Breaks: 20 minutes paid daily

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Machine Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing company in the Ripley–Codnor area. This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous machine operation or factory experience looking for ongoing, stable work.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of machinery
• End-of-line quality control and inspection
• Completing all required production paperwork
• Manual handling and loading of materials and products
• Keeping the working area clean, tidy, and compliant with H&S
• Carrying out any other duties as required

Shift Pattern

Days:

• Monday–Thursday: 05:45–14:00
• Friday: 05:45–12:00

Afters:

• Monday–Thursday: 13:45–22:00
• Friday: 11:45–18:00

Requirements

• Previous experience operating machinery or working in a factory environment is essential
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Comfortable with manual handling
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts
