We are currently recruiting for a Refinery Operative to join a specialist department within a leading food production site in Worksop.

This is a vital position in the cocoa refining process, working through a four-step production method to ensure product quality and process accuracy. The Refinery Operative role requires someone confident working independently, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.

Working hours:

Hours of work:

Week 1 – Monday to Friday Nights 22:00 – 06:00

Week 2 – Monday to Friday – Afters 14:00 – 22:00

Week 3 – Monday to Friday – Days – 06:00 – 14:00

Week 4 – Saturday & Sunday – 0600-1800 or 1800-0600 (rotates weekly)

Main responsibilities:

• Monitoring refinery machinery to ensure cocoa products are processed correctly at each stage
• Carrying out frequent quality checks to ensure high production standards
• Working independently and using initiative to maintain workflow
• Communicating with the Control Team to report issues or necessary adjustments
• Ensuring the production area runs smoothly and efficiently
• Adhering to health, safety, hygiene, and allergen protocols
• Following a clean-as-you-go policy and completing all cleaning tasks as required

Key requirements:

• Experience in production or food manufacturing preferred
• Confident working alone and taking ownership of key responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of quality standards
• Comfortable using production machinery (training provided if needed)
• Good communication skills and ability to follow procedures
• Flexible, reliable, and positive attitude to work
