Machine Operator with Forklift Counterbalance, Worksop

A leading manufacturer within the plastic recycling industry, based in Worksop, are expanding their team and looking for a Machine Operator with an accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join them on an temporary to permanent basis.

In this Machine Operator role you will be operating various production machinery within the extrusion department, as well as operating a counterbalance forklift to move stock and materials.

If you have previous experience in a Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Extrusion Operative or similar role in a production or manufacturing environment this would be advantageous but not essential. However an accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence is required.

Pay Rate:

• £15.89 per hour

Hours of work:

Rotating Days & Nights

Days

• Monday: 12pm – 6pm
• Tuesday to Thursday: 6am – 6pm

Nights

• Monday to Wednesday: 6pm – 6am
• Thursday: 6pm – 12am

40 hours per week, including a 1-hour break.

Duties of a Machine Operator with Forklift Counterbalance include:

As a Machine Operator, your duties will include:

• Operating production machinery
• Using a Counterbalance Forklift to move stock and materials around the site
• Working within the extrusion department
• Carrying out appropriate machinery and equipment checks
• Cleaning machinery and equipment
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within your work area
• Completing manual and heavy lifting duties where required

Skills required for this Machine Operator with Forklift Counterbalance position:

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a valid, accredited Counterbalance FLT licence
  In-house FLT licences will not be accepted.
• Are physically fit and able to undertake manual and heavy lifting duties
• Are comfortable working in a warm, noisy and industrial environment
• Are reliable and committed to ongoing work
• Previous production or manufacturing experience advantageous but not essential (Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Extrusion Operative or similar etc.)
