Machine Operator, Rotherham

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking to develop your manufacturing career?

We are currently looking for a hands on Machine Operator to join a small, fast growing business based in Manvers, Rotherham.

As a Machine Operator you will manufacturing MDF and oak furniture using a variety of machinery from edge banders to saws, sanders and routers. This role also includes general Assembly Operative work, using hand and power tools to assemble hinges and other items onto the furniture panels. We’re keen to speak to experienced Machine Operators with at least 2 years experience in a machine operating role.

Hours: Monday to Friday / 7:30am – 4pm

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Main duties of a Machine Operator:

• Manufacturing of various MDF and Oak furniture products such as: Wardrobes, desks, bedside tables, table tops, storage units and various others
• Manual handling of furniture panels ready for production
• Assist with machinery such as: Edge bander, panel saws, sanders, routers and various other machinery
• Use of hand and power tools to assemble hinges, mounting places and cabinet profiles onto the furniture panels
• Quality checking of assembled parts and built furniture
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Various other duties when required

Skills Required for this Machine Operator position:

• Previous Machine Operating experience would be essential (2 years minimum)
• Experience operating and using various hand and power tools
• Excellent eye for detail
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• ‘Can do’ attitude
• Working within a fast paced environment
