We are currently recruiting for multiple Machine Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business on a permanent contract based in Harworth, Doncaster.
Shift Patterns & Pay Rates Available:
Nights:
- Sunday to Thursday
- 10:00pm – 6:30am
- Salary: £33,261 per annum
Rotating Days and Afters
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am – 2:30pm
- 2:00pm – 10:30pm
- Salary: £28,923 per annum
Please note applicants must be flexible to work both shifts on a weekly rotating basis
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
- Running production machines to achieve daily output targets.
- Carrying out quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assisting with the production process and supporting colleagues across the manufacturing operation.
- Maintaining clean and safe working areas by regularly sweeping work surfaces and surrounding yard areas.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Reporting any machinery issues, defects or production concerns to supervisors.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
- Carrying out additional general operative duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is essential.
- Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
Desirable Skills
- An accredited Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Previous experience working within heavy manufacturing, engineering or industrial production environments would be beneficial.
