Glass Cutting Operative, Barnsley

We are excited to partner with a leading manufacturer of glass units and are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our growing team as Glass Cutting Operatives on immediate starts.

Rate of pay:

• £14.18 per hour

Hours:

• Sunday to Thursday
• 10pm to 6am

Duties include:

• Operate automated machinery and manage on-site fumes
• Handle and inspect glass of various sizes, ensuring quality
• Assemble glass inserts to meet customer specifications
• Fit beading, install glass panes, and seal them into frames
• Assemble window units, adding handles, locks, and hinges
• Perform final product inspections to ensure high standards
• Pack finished products securely for dispatch
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Assist with tool and machinery maintenance
• Meet daily production targets while ensuring safety

Skills required:

• Previous experience cutting and measuring glass is essential.
• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Good physical fitness for manual handling and lifting
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
