General Operative, Wakefield

We are currently looking for a hands-on General Operative to join a fast-growing company based in Wakefield.

You will be joining a business which is well known for their precision and cleanliness within the clinical waste industry while working towards a permanent job role which offers a wealth of personal growth and career progression.

Pay Rate:

• £12.71 per hour

Hours:

• 4 on 4 off rota
• 7am – 7pm
• 43 hours paid per week

Main duties of a General Operative:

• Unloading and loading of clinical waste bins
• Cleaning, disinfecting and conducting hygiene checks on clinical bins
• Separate medical and clinical waste into different streams, Blue – Pharmacy waste, Yellow & Orange – General Clinical shredding waste, Green – Metal waste
• Matching tags on the bins to the correct process needed
• Quality checking bins after they’ve been through the sterilisation process to ensure they meet hygiene standards
• Setting ,machine up ready for sterilisation (training provided)
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Various other duties when required

Skills Required:

• Experience within a warehouse or manual role would be preferred
• Fantastic eye for detail
• Physically fit due to nature of the role
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude towards learning new skills
• Punctual and reliable
