General Operative, Thorne Doncaster

A manufacturer in the Thorne area of Doncaster are looking for two General Operatives to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

As a General Operative you will be using hand and power tools like drills, hammers and other assembly equipment to assemble trailer doors. You will also place polystyrene blocks onto finished products and any other duties as required.

We’re looking to speak with candidates who have used hand and power tools within a Production Operative, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Yard Operative, Labourer or similar role.

 

Duties of a General Operative:

• Placing polystyrene blocks onto finished products.
• Using hand and power tools to assemble trailer doors together (basic assembly)
• Any other duties required of the candidate

 

Requirements of a General Operative:

• Competent in the safe use of basic hand (cordless drills, hammers) tools and general assembly equipment – this MUST have been in a previous role – home DIY is not suitable.
• Good concentration and attention to detail to avoid any errors or detect quality issues on materials or components to be used.
• All training will be provided.

 

The key details:

• Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 3:30pm / Friday, 7am – 3pm
• Pay: £13.00 per hour
• Contract: Temp to Perm
