Mixing Operative – Somercotes (Alfreton)

4 on / 4 off | 12-hour shifts | Temp to Perm

Looking for a steady, well-paid job with proper time off and the chance to go permanent? Griffith Foods is hiring Mixing Operatives to join their production team in Somercotes.

This is hands-on work in a busy food production environment.

You’ll be mixing ingredients for sauces and seasonings, running machinery, packing products, and making sure everything meets quality standards. You’ll be on your feet most of the shift, but the work is straightforward and the time goes quickly.

The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, working 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am, giving you plenty of time off between rotations.

Pay:

• £12.80 per hour
• £15.21 per hour after 12 weeks
• Overtime up to £25.88 per hour

You don’t need previous experience, although factory or warehouse work will help. What matters most is:

• Reliability and a good work ethic
• Willingness to learn
• Being comfortable with physical, hands-on work

This role offers a real opportunity to secure a permanent contract after 12 weeks, along with consistent hours, weekly pay, and a stable working environment.
