Food Production Operative, Newthorpe

Looking for some flexible, part time temporary work that requires no experience?

A busy food manufacturer are looking for a Food Production Operative to join the team at their site in the Newthorpe area of Nottingham. This is an ongoing temporary role offered on an as-required basis, making it ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time work and happy to pick up shifts when available.

As a Food Production Operative you will be working with a small team, assisting with daily production tasks, such as operating machinery, packing finished products and stacking boxes onto pallets at the end of the production line.

If you have previous experience as a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Factory Operative, Machine Operator or similar role in a food production environment this would be desirable, but not essential as long as you’re hardworking and reliable.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities of a Food Production Operative:

• Working as part of a small team within a chilled, high-risk food production environment.
• Assisting the Supervisor with daily production tasks.
• Operating and understanding various packaging machinery.
• Cleaning down machinery and equipment in line with hygiene standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Packing finished products into boxes and stacking them onto pallets at the end of the production line.
• Standing, walking, and bending throughout the duration of the shift.

Requirements of a Food Production Operative:

• Previous food production or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.
• Quality-focused with a good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Willingness to undertake additional training where required.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and work environments.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
