Food Production Operative, Mansfield

We are currently recruiting Food Production Operatives to join a busy chocolate manufacturing facility in Mansfield on a temporary ongoing basis.

As a Food Production Operative you will be operating machinery, monitoring the production lines, checking product quality, conducting basic machinery checks and other duties as required.

We are keen to speak with candidates with experience in a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Factory Operative, Machine Operator or similar role in a food production, food processing, production or manufacturing environment.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:45am–4:45pm | Friday, 7:45am–12:45pm
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid break + 2 × 15-minute paid breaks

Key Responsibilities of a Food Production Operative:

• Operate filling and packing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production lines and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Carry out basic machinery checks and maintenance.
• Maintain product quality in line with company procedures and standards.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Work across different areas of the facility as required.
• Undertake manual handling, including some heavy lifting.

Requirements of a Food Production Operative:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to work across different production areas.
• Comfortable with manual handling and working around machinery.
• Computer literate with good attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
