Field Service Engineer

Location: Shrewsbury (covering Shropshire, West Midlands, Staffordshire and surrounding areas) – You would only be required to travel around 50 miles from the Shrewsbury site

Salary: £18.50 per hour (£38,480 basic salary based on a 40-hour week)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading construction and agricultural machinery business. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing machinery at customer sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair construction and agricultural machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attend customer sites to carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, Land-Based Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience working on plant, agricultural, construction or heavy equipment machinery.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical and electrical experience, with approximately a 50/50 split.
• Experience with telematics or machine diagnostics would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Package & Benefits

• £18.50 per hour basic rate.
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. If you work overtime there is possibility to be more flexible on your hours.
