Field Service Engineer – Depot & Pumping Systems
Location: UK travel
Basic Salary: £41,000 per annum | Realistic Earnings: With overtime, call-out and travel time included, engineers typically earn between £48,000 and £55,000+ a year
We’re looking for a Level 3 / 18th Edition Engineers who enjoys hands-on work, plenty of variety and travelling to different sites across the UK.
You’ll be working on pumping systems, CET units, wash plants and general depot equipment, supporting the wider transport sector.
The role includes a mix of planned jobs and reactive call-outs, with full training on all specialist systems.
You’ll work Monday to Friday, roughly 8am–6pm, with flexibility depending on the day’s workload.
Travel is paid door-to-door and most engineers stay away two to three nights per week, but if working within a 2 hour radius of your home you will not need to stay overnight.
What the role involves:
- Servicing and maintaining pumps, CET units, wash plants and depot systems
- A mix of planned maintenance and reactive work
- Nationwide travel with door-to-door pay
- Two to three nights away each week
- Weekend overtime available if wanted
- Call-out rota of 1 in 15 weeks (£60/day, £100 BH + lieu day)
What you’ll receive:

- £25 daily food allowance + £10 night-out allowance

- Time and a half overtime, double time on Sundays/Bank Holidays
- 22 days holiday rising to 25 with service

What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 Engineering qualification
- 18th Edition
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Comfortable travelling nationally and staying away regularly
- Full UK driving licence (21+, max 6 points)
