Sales Executive – Food Distribution

Location: Chesterfield

Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Salary: £24,784.50 – £25,837.50 per annum, dependent on experience

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and personable Sales Executive to join a busy food distribution business serving the hospitality and catering sectors. This is a relationship-focused sales role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers, and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit customers across pubs, clubs, hotels, festivals, and catering businesses
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Identify new sales opportunities and grow existing accounts
• Conduct regular follow-ups and manage your own sales pipeline
• Promote a wide range of frozen and catering products
• Support customers with product knowledge and tailored recommendations
• Established customer base with strong repeat business
• Other duties will be required as well, such as stock checking, general housekeeping duties

Experience

• Confident communicator with “the gift of the gab”
• Strong sales ability and target-driven mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Good knowledge of food or hospitality is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence required
• Energetic and proactive with a hands-on approach
