We are currently recruiting for a Farm Assistant to help support a busy poultry farm and supplier based in York. In this role you will be supporting with feeding and handling the chickens and helping to transport them locally to trade or private buyers wanting egg laying hens in their garden areas. A full UK driving licence will be essential for this role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and supporting a busy farm operation.

 

Hours of Work:

  • Flexible shifts between 7am-5pm
  • Hours are flexible and could be anytime Monday-Sunday, and weekend work may be required depending on orders

 

Pay:

  • £15.00 per hour

 

Main Duties of a Farm Assistant:

  • Catching and handling chickens
  • Feeding livestock
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy farm environment
  • Assisting with general farm duties as required
  • Transporting chickens locally when needed

 

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence is essential for this role
