Despatch Supervisor, Monk Bretton Barnsley

Salary: £34,500 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday / 9:00am – 6:00pm

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Despatch Supervisor to oversee the movement of finished goods and raw materials throughout the site on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ensure the efficient running of despatch operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, process control and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day despatch operations.
• Manage the picking and preparation of finished goods for dispatch.
• Ensure raw materials are supplied to production areas as required.
• Maintain stock accuracy and inventory records.
• Manage despatch paperwork, documentation and process controls.
• Coordinate goods movements to support production and customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Monitor team performance and drive operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and despatch function.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience within warehouse, logistics, despatch or manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing stock control and material movements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence highly desirable.
• Experience with warehouse systems and inventory management would be advantageous.
