Manufacturing Operative (Days and Afters Shift), Tankersley

A leading manufacture of glass units, based in Tankersley, are looking for reliable and hardworking Manufacturing Operatives to join their busy, friendly team.

This will be a varied role, which involves training in all aspects of the Factory offering a permanent position for someone looking to build a long-term career.

Due to the location of the site, your own transport will be required, as public transport routes are not available for a 6am start.

 

Details and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm (weekly rotating)
  • £12.85 per hour

Duties

  • Fit and secure beading around windows.
  • Install glass panes and seal them into the frames.
  • Inspect glass and materials for quality before use.
  • Assemble window and door units, adding handles, locks, and hinges.
  • Ensure all parts are properly aligned and securely fitted.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Report and fix any defects or issues.
  • Pack completed products safely for delivery.
  • Label and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Keep your work area clean and organised.
  • Help maintain tools and machinery.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality.
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use protective equipment.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or assembly role.
  • Own transport due to location.
  • Full training will be provided for the right person.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Good physical fitness for manual handling and lifting.
  • Ability to work well in a team and meet production targets.
