Counterbalance Forklift Driver – Nights, Doncaster

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver, with an accredited licence, to join a busy and well-established manufacturing operation based in Doncaster.

This role would suit candidates who are confident operating a Counterbalance Forklift truck in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. If you are looking for secure, ongoing employment with a reputable employer, we’d love to hear from you!

Shift Pattern

• 4 on 4 off rotation
• Night shifts only
• 6:30pm – 6:30am

Pay Rate

• £15.07 per hour

The Role

As a Counterbalance Driver, your main responsibility will be the safe movement of products and materials throughout the site. The position is approximately 90% forklift work, with occasional yard duties required to support the wider operation.

Daily duties will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Moving products and materials around the site using a Counterbalance forklift truck
• Supplying production areas with stock and raw materials
• Storing finished goods in designated locations
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Assisting with general yard duties when required
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
• Working closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure operational efficiency

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Hold a valid accredited Counterbalance licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS, TOOLS or equivalent)
• Have previous experience operating a Counterbalance truck within an industrial, warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation
• Have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Desirable Experience

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working outdoors or within a yard operation
• Experience loading and unloading curtain-sided trailers
