Commercial & Production Coordinator
South Normanton

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial & Production Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in South Normanton. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the commercial function, helping to coordinate customer orders, purchasing activities, production administration and operational processes. This role offers genuine long-term career development and would suit someone looking to build a future within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Commercial & Production Coordinator:
- Processing customer sales orders and maintaining accurate records.
- Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
- Supporting production planning and scheduling activities.
- Tracking customer and production orders through the business.
- Liaising with production, warehouse and operational teams.
- Updating ERP systems and maintaining accurate data.
- Producing reports and supporting KPI tracking.
- Assisting with stock control and inventory administration.
- Supporting customers with order updates and enquiries.
- General commercial and administrative support.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous administration experience within a manufacturing, engineering, production, planning, logistics or supply chain environment.
- Experience processing orders, production paperwork, purchase orders or planning-related administration.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience communicating with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
Desirable:
- SAP or ERP system experience.
- Purchasing or procurement experience.
- Production planning or scheduling experience.
- KPI reporting experience.
- Stock control or inventory management experience.
- Exposure to BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Please Note:
This role is best suited to candidates with previous exposure to manufacturing, production, engineering or supply chain environments.
Candidates whose experience is solely within retail, hospitality, property, general customer service or general office administration are unlikely to be considered.
