CNC Machinist, Manvers Rotherham S63

Are you an experienced CNC Operator looking for a long term career?

We are currently looking for hands on CNC Machinists to join a small, fast-growing furniture manufacturer based in the Manvers area of Rotherham on a temporary to permanent basis, with immediate starts.

In this CNC Machinist role you will be programming machinery and operating and overseeing automated CNC machinery to manufacture MDF and oak furniture. This role also includes other general Production Operative duties, such as using hand and power tools to assemble hinges and profiles onto furniture panels, quality checking finished products and preparing them for dispatch.

We’re keen to speak to candidates with experience working within a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Setter or similar Machine Operator role involving CNC machinery.

Hours: Monday to Friday / 7:30am to 4pm | Optional overtime after 37.5 hours

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Contract: Permanent contract available after 12 weeks

Main duties of a CNC Machinist:

• Operating & overseeing of automated CNC Machines
• Programming of various machinery and reporting of any breakdown’s
• Manufacturing of various MDF and Oak furniture products such as: Wardrobes, desks, bedside tables, storage units and various others
• Manual handling of furniture panels ready for production
• Use of hand and power tools to assemble hinges, mounting places and cabinet profiles onto the furniture panels
• Quality checking of assembled parts and built furniture
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Various other duties when required

Skills Required for this CNC Machinist position:

• Previous experience working with CNC Machines would be required
• Must have a keen eye for detail
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude & ability to use own initiative
• Working within a fast paced environment
• Candidate must be able to multitask & be versatile across all departments
