Bandsaw / Cutting Operator, Wirksworth

We’re recruiting for an experienced Bandsaw / Cutting Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Wirksworth on a permanent basis.

Pay Rate:

• £29,348 per annum + overtime (time +½)

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8am – 4:30pm

Main Duties of a Bandsaw / Cutting Operator:

• Operating bandknife / bandsaw machinery to cut materials accurately
• Preparing materials ready for CNC processing
• Working from technical drawings and measurements
• Ensuring maximum material utilisation and minimal waste
• Maintaining high quality and health & safety standards
• Supporting across production where needed

Experience required:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using bandsaw, bandknife, or similar cutting machinery
• Confident working from drawings and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Background in manufacturing / production environments
• Reliable, hands-on, and team-focused

We’re also keen to hear from candidates with transferable experience, including: Cutting Operator, CNC Cutter, Foam Converter, Textile Cutter, Conversion Operative.
