Assembly operative – Worksop
Pay: £12.25 per hour | Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 1:12pm | Contract: Temporary ongoing
As an Assembly Operator you will be responsible for assembling components to produce industrial switches and disconnectors. By performing a variety of assembly, machining, wiring, mounting, fitting, labelling and packing duties for a variety of parts and products.
Main duties:
- Working from assembly layouts, drawings, sketches and other instructions.
- Use various hand and power tools to assemble the product as per specifications.
- Perform repetitive bench assembly taking care to position materials and assemble details such as screws, contacts, springs, nuts, arms, washers, receptacles, guards, gaskets, etc. in proper sequence as prescribed.
- Quality check, sand and clean parts and finished assembly as required or directed to assure quality products.
- Inspect parts and complete products visually.
- Make up cartons, pack finished products in proper containers, seal, label and dispose to storage area.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing assembly environment
- Be happy sat down working from a work bench
- Have a good eye for detail
- Be able to perform dextrous tasks
- Work to a small scale.
