Please note: This role is currently based in Mansfield for training purposes but will relocate to the new site in Annesley in 2027.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4pm – Compressed hours available
• Enjoy a consistent day shift pattern with no weekend work.

The Role

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling precision-engineered components to the high standards expected by Glenair’s global customer base.

Key duties include:

• Assembling precision components using technical drawings, instructions and specifications
• Using hand tools and specialist equipment to build high-quality products
• Working with small and intricate parts
• Carrying out quality checks and inspections throughout the assembly process
• Meeting production targets while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Following health, safety and quality procedures at all times
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional work area

Full Assembly Operative training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop a career within precision manufacturing.

About You

We’re looking for motivated and reliable individuals who take pride in producing high-quality work.

The ideal Assembly Operative candidate will have:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to concentrate on detailed, repetitive tasks
• Strong organisational skills
• Previous experience as an Assembly Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Factory Operative would be beneficial but is not essential.
• This role could be particularly suitable for individuals who enjoy hobbies requiring precision and attention to detail, such as model making, electronics, jewellery making, crafting or intricate DIY projects.
