7.5 Tonne Driver – West Yorkshire (Afternoon Shift)

A furniture distribution company based in West Yorkshire who are looking for a hands on Delivery Driver to join their busy, friendly team. This will be a varied role, which involves all aspects of duties from assembling of furniture upon delivery and delivering products nationwide. This role offers a permanent position for someone looking to build a long-term career.

Pay & Hours:

• £13.39 per hour
• Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm – 10:30pm (later finish may be required – full travel time paid)
• 40+ hours per week
• Opportunity for long term work

Main Duties:

• Driving to various sites around Sheffield, Lincoln, Grimsby, North Yorkshire, Bradford and Huddersfield and down to Birmingham (standard UK driver’s license required)
• Completion of driver checks before setting off on your route
• Driving duties would include; Meeting customers and providing quality face to face customer service upon delivery
• Delivery packages include: Basic delivery (in a specified area), Premium Delivery (full assembly of furniture products, removal of waste and excess packaging)
• Unloading the van when on customer sites site
• Checking and completing paperwork once drop offs have been completed and use of scanners to scan customer product labels
• Physical manual handling
• Various other duties where needed

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience within a driving role would be preferred
• Candidates must have held their license for a minimum of 12 months
• Must be 21+ years due to insurance purposes
• Maximum of 6 points on license
• Suitable candidates must be available to assist with Driving duties as well as warehouse duties when needed
• Friendly, approachable and positive attitude towards work and others
• Ability to meet targets and deadlines
