Ferdinand Bilstein are a German company founded in 1844, trading manufactured goods made of steel, iron and brass across Europe. In 1921, the emergence of the automotive industry saw a strategic business move and from 1936 the focus of production changed towards automotive spare parts and spring bolts, as well as the first repair kits for kingpins being developed and sold.

1981 saw the start of internationalisation with ‘Febi UK Ltd’, the first foreign branch was founded in England in 1990 and 20 more branches followed by 2017.
