Eggcellent Easter Eggstravaganza Event!

We’ve almost completed this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza!

After the success of last year’s event, we decided to give it another go. The event involves us at Essential contacting local businesses for their help in our mission to make sure that no child misses out on the Easter fun, and that everyone gets an egg.

Our Mansfield branch delivered their eggs to John Eastwood Hospice which is based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The mission of the John Eastwood Hospice Trust is to support its NHS partners in the organisation and delivery of palliative care services, both in the John Eastwood Hospice and in the community. Dani, our Recruitment Consultant from Mansfield said “I had the pleasure of taking down a car full of chocolate to John Eastwood hospice today. They were so appreciative and couldn’t stop gushing over how many eggs there were!” Eggs were handed out to day care groups or scheduled for delivery to in care patients. Dani adds “It was lovely to have our donation appreciated.” Donations were from Alliance Healthcare and Whitemeadow Furniture.

Our Ripley branch collected eggs from ThorntonsGrangers International LtdHCS LtdThreesixty Innovation LtdDerwent DisplaysCepak LtdBPIDenby Pottery and Masterdor/Sheerframe. This includes people referred by social services, the police or domestic abuse services and job centres as well as anyone else who is truly in need. David, Recruitment Consultant from Ripley proudly said “Eggcellent effort Guys! Cracking time had by all!”

Commenting on the whole event, Derby Branch Manager Bec Brookes says “A fantastic result and there will be lots of smiles on the kids’ faces when they receive their eggs.”

” Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the Easter eggs that you very generously organised and delivered to us last week. The organisations benefiting were Woodville children centre – who support young families with children. ( currently supporting 60 children) The local women’s refuge where families go  when fleeing Domestic abuse. The local charity Next Step that support families who are experiencing Domestic abuse. Harvey Girls, charity who again support young families. Also everyone coming in for a food parcel with families were and still are being given an Easter egg. All of which were very grateful and ensured that the children got treats over Easter where this would not have happened. So much appreciated Charlie you have made that difference to people needing it”
